E. Mitchell Smith, Jr. was born in Houston, Texas. He attended high school and was a member of the 1953 Lamar High School State Championship football team. He attended The University of Texas in Austin on a football scholarship and lettered 3 years on the Longhorns football team. Upon graduating with a degree in business, majoring in management and finance, he attended the University of Texas Law School in Austin. There he obtained his law degree in 1961. Since then, he has been a licensed practicing attorney based in Houston, Texas but working on various cases around the Country. Mr. Smith has over 45 years of experience in the legal field working with clients in a dedicated and professional manner.
